Author Biography
Robert San Souci is the author of both adult and children's books and is highly regarded for his adaptations of folk tales from around the world, including Europe, Asia, the British Isles, and the Americas. These include such popular titles as The Talking Eggs: A Folktale from the American South, Cendrillon: A Caribbean Cinderella, As Luck Would Have It: Adapted from the Brothers Grimm. His books have won two Caldecott Honors, three Coretta Scott King Honors, and two Aesop Awards from the American Folklore Society. He has also published the "Short & Shivery" and "Dare to Be Scared" series for older readers. He also wrote the screen story for Disney's animated feature Mulan.
San Souci will be at the Festival with his brother Daniel.
