Fox Cities Reads
The 2012 Fox Cities Reads is underway! Pick up a copy of Make the Impossible Possible by Bill Strickland at your local library and join in community-wide discussions about the book. The author will visit the Fox Cities April 16-18 during the Fox Cities Book Festival.
Author Biography
Gregg Hurwitz is the best-selling author of numerous books including The Tower (1999), Minutes to Burn (2001), The Kill Clause (2003), Troubleshooter (2005), The Crime Writer (2007), Trust No One (2009), and They're Watching (2010). His upcoming novel You're Next is scheduled for release in summer 2011. His works have been nominated for such awards as CWA's Ian Fleming Steel Dagger, shortlisted for best novel of the year by International Thriller Writers, honored as Book Sense Picks, and translated into 18 languages.
Currently Hurwitz is a consulting producer on ABC's V, and his writing accomplishments extend beyond novels. He has written screenplays for or sold spec scripts to Warner Brothers, Paramount, MGM, Jerry Bruckheimer Films, and ESPN; he has developed TV series for Warner Brothers and Lakeshore; and he has written Wolverine, Punisher and others for Marvel. Additionally, Hurwitz has published numerous academic articles on Shakespeare. He has taught fiction writing at USC and guest lectured at UCLA and Harvard. In the course of researching his thrillers, Hurwitz has sneaked onto demolition ranges with Navy SEALs, swam with sharks in the Galapagos, and gone undercover into mind-control cults.
