2011 Book Festival Author
Patricia Nan Anderson

Author Biography

Patricia Nan Anderson always thought she’d write a book – she just had no idea it would be a book on parenting! After raising her own kids, mostly as a single mom with a full-time job, then landing a position as a college professor of early childhood education, she realized that what she knows a lot about is how to have a whole lot of fun with the serious business of raising kids in a stressful world.

Dr. Anderson wrote Parenting: A Field Guide based on her own experience and wisdom and the wisdom of the best research in the field. Her book became so popular she was asked to host a radio show, Parenting: A Field Guide LIVE!, and then was asked to help agencies and businesses in getting the word out to parents. And the word is this: raising children often feels like wandering in the dark. But moms and dads already have the tools they need and just shining a light on their lives is enough to find the path. Patricia Nan Anderson is that light. Come catch the glow!
