Fox Cities Reads
The 2012 Fox Cities Reads is underway! Pick up a copy of Make the Impossible Possible by Bill Strickland at your local library and join in community-wide discussions about the book. The author will visit the Fox Cities April 16-18 during the Fox Cities Book Festival.
Author Biography
Sneed B. Collard III is an accomplished author of both nonfiction and fiction works. He has written more than 55 books for young people, including Science Warriors (2008), Reign of the Sea Dragons (2008), and The World Famous Miles City Bucking Horse Sale (2010). To research and write his nonfiction books, he has traveled to Australia, Costa Rica, Southeast Asia, and the deep-sea floor.
Sneed's fiction includes the award-winning novels Dog Sense (2005) and Flash Point (2006). His novel Double Eagle (2009), a thriller, is on state reading lists across the country. His most recent novel, The Governor's Dog is Missing (2011), features 12-year-old friends Slate Stephens and Daphne McSweeney, who find themselves solving a mysterious disappearance.
In 2006, Sneed received the prestigious Washington Post-Children's Book Guild Nonfiction Award for his body of work. He lives in Missoula, Montana, and his work is often featured on "best of" lists.

The author of sixty nonfiction and fiction children’s books will share some of his most exciting adventures traveling to research his books, including a visit to the Costa Rican cloud forest, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, and the deep-sea floor.
