Fox Cities Reads
The 2013 Fox Cities Reads is underway! Pick up a copy of Last Child in the Woods and the Nature Priniciple by Richard Louv at your local library and join in community-wide discussions about the book. The author will visit the Fox Cities April 22-24 during the Fox Cities Book Festival.
Author Biography
Andrea Boeshaar is known for her historical and contemporary Christian romance fiction. Threads of Hope (2012), her latest book, follows the story of Kristin Eikaas, a young immigrant woman who comes to Wisconsin in 1848. Her life in this new place is filled with difficulties, but the friendship offered by Sam Sundberg is one good thing. Will this friendship be allowed to grow into something more? Threads of Hope is the first book in Boeshaar's Fabric of Time series. Her popular Season of Redemption series also focuses on historical Christian romance and includes the titles: Unwilling Warrior (2010), Uncertain Heart (2010), Unexpected Love (2011), and Undaunted Faith (2011).
Her stories with contemporary settings include Love Finds You in Mracle Kentucky (2009) and the collection Heartland Heroes (2010). She also writes inspirational non-fiction.
Boeshaar attended UW-Milwaukee and Alverno College. Her first novel was published in 1994. She is a co-founder of the organization, American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW).
Threads of Hope has a local tie to northeast Wisconsin - the book is set in Green Bay and is rich with Wisconsin history about a Norwegian woman who comes to settle in the state. Things aren't what she ever imagined. Learn more about the book.
