Author Biography

Kate Thompson has more than twenty years’ experience in book publishing. A Door County native, she gained publishing experience in Minnesota and the East Coast before returning to her home state in 1999. As senior editor for the Wisconsin Historical Society Press, she acquires manuscripts and develops, edits, and promotes books on Wisconsin history and culture. Kate is president of the board of directors of the Wisconsin Center for the Book, a nonprofit Library of Congress affiliate that celebrates Wisconsin literature with programs and events throughout the state.
