Fox Cities Reads
The 2013 Fox Cities Reads is underway! Pick up a copy of Last Child in the Woods and the Nature Priniciple by Richard Louv at your local library and join in community-wide discussions about the book. The author will visit the Fox Cities April 22-24 during the Fox Cities Book Festival.
Author Biography
Wisconsin author Nancy Sweetland loves to write and her wide variety of publications attest to this fact. She has published 7 children's picture books, a chapter book for young readers, short fiction, poetry, feature articles, and the romance novel The Door to Love (2009). The Door to Love, set in Door County, focuses on Courtney James, a young widow, who is trying to reinvent her life by opening up a sports shop in this vacation area. Her plans, however, start to go awry when an unexpected business partner turns up, Courtney's sister Lisbet begins working on her own agenda, her nephew goes missing, and a fire breaks out. Sweetland is now working on the novel Wannabe that connects with the characters in The Door to Love.
Sweetland has won numerous regional and national awards for her fiction, poetry, essays, and articles. She lives in Green Bay and belongs to Wisconsin Regional Writers, Wisconsin Romance Writers of America, and the Midwest Chapter of Mystery Writers of America.
