Fox Cities Reads
The 2013 Fox Cities Reads is underway! Pick up a copy of Last Child in the Woods and the Nature Priniciple by Richard Louv at your local library and join in community-wide discussions about the book. The author will visit the Fox Cities April 22-24 during the Fox Cities Book Festival.
Author Biography
Deresiewicz is a highly respected essayist, literary and cultural critic, and former associate professor of English at Yale. He is a contributing writer for The Nation and a contributing editor for The New Republic. His novel, A Jane Austen Education: How Six Novels Taught Me About Love, Friendship, and the Things That Really Matter and a vast array of provocative essays, including Solitude and Leadership (“to the plebe class at West Point”), The Disadvantages of an Elite Education (“what the Ivy League won’t teach you”), Love on Campus (“fake stereotypes and true teaching”) and Faux Friendship (about Facebook) are highly regarded and taught at many universities, schools of business, corporations and organizations around the world.
