Holly Harden is a writer for Garrison Keillor and his popular Saturday night Minnesota Public Radio program, A Prairie Home Companion. Each week, Harden draws on her years of living in Wisconsin and Minnesota to explore the patterns of small town life. These evocative musings can be a jumping-off point for Keillor's famous Prairie Home Companion monologues about Lake Wobegon.

Harden is currently at work on two book manuscripts, one with the working title of The Pastor's Wife and another about parenting.

Harden grew up east of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, in a small town called Fall Creek. She graduated from St. Olaf in 1989 with an English major, having taken every writing class the college offered. She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Hamline University and was later hired as Keillor's assistant. Harden currently lives in Forest Lake, Minnesota.
