Cliff Christl

Wisconsin native Cliff Christl has had a long and distinguished career as a sportswriter, working for newspapers in Manitowoc, Green Bay, and Milwaukee. He has covered professional sports and teams, in particular the Green Bay Packers, and also had a special interest in writing about high school football.

From print and television sports reporters to a woman who was a pre-teen when Vince Lombardi came to Green Bay, this panel brings insight into the history, inspiration and passion of the Packers organization and the people who created legends. The panel includes

each bringing a different perspective on the Green and Gold.

This presentation will take place in The Clubhouse, inside the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel.

NOTE: Due to last minute work conflicts, Mr. Carlson will not be able to join us for the Festival this year.

Royce Boyles

Wisconsin native Royce Boyles has a history of professional involvement with the Green Bay Packers. He has worked as a Green Bay TV sports anchor, co-hosted the Packers coach's show in the 1970s, and written two books with former Packers linebacker Dave Robinson.

Linda Lange

Linda Lange grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, during the era when Vince Lombardi coached the Packers.  She has worked in broadcasting and as a copywriter in ad sales promotion for U.S. News & World Report magazine.  Incomplete Passes is her first book.

John Coy

John Coy is the author of the picture books Night Driving, Strong to the Hoop, Vroomaloom Zoom, Two Old Potatoes and Me, and Around the World. John is a member of the NBA Reading All-Star Team as part of the Read to Achieve program. Crackback, his first young adult novel,is about high school football and his second, Box Out, is about high school basketball.

Chuck Carlson

Newspaper reporter and editor Chuck Carlson has written extensively about the Green Bay Packers, and his latest book on the subject, Tales from the Green Bay Packers Sideline: a Collection of the Greatest Packers Stories Ever Told (2011), contains stories about the team history and the legendary men, both on and off the field, who have made the Packers great.
