What would our neighborhoods look like if neighbors were connected based upon the gifts, skills, and interests they have to share with one another?

Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) is a world-wide movement based on the work of the ABCD Institute at Northwestern University, co-founded by John McKnight, author of Building Communities from the Inside Out and more recently, The Abundant Community: Awakening the Power of Families and NeighborhoodsNeighborhood Partners is a new collaboration of nonprofit, government, and corporate organizations launching an ABCD process in a pilot neighborhood of Appleton.

At this session, we will learn first-hand about the simple power of neighbor-to-neighbor conversations that explore what is most important and what we have to share with each other.

Tom Mosgaller is a long-time community organizer and community development professional who serves on the faculty of the ABCD Institute. Tom is mentoring Neighborhood Partners in the Fox Valley.

This event is sponsored by Sustainable Fox Valley.
